One of the things I love about the sunset at St Ouen’s Bay is the horizontality of it: all those long, straight lines, contrasting with the churning sea. Thursday was a case in point. I was at the Laveurs slipway just after the sun had gone, and the post sunset glow lit up the sea wall.
Looking out at the long line of the horizon, I always feel I can breathe that little bit easier. We all need that sense of space, of towering skies and limitless views to put our lives in some kind of perspective.
